  2. Run WPDevMate.exe

NOTE: If the path to your windows hosts file is anything other than default:

How to Install WPDevMate - Files only version
You must have cURL enabled. Check the README file for further information and other pre-requisites.

    1. Extract wpdevmate-x.xx.zip to your server root (e.g./htdocs/wpdevmate).
    2. Open config.ini (/wpdevmate/includes/) and enter values that match your testing environment. You will probably need to change the following:

db_host = localhost db_user = root db_pass = path_to_vhosts = path_to_win_hosts (not been tested on a Mac yet) NOTE: Please ensure that the database user has ROOT permissions.

  1. Visit your Server URL (http://127.0.0.1/) and open /wpdevmate/index.php (depending on your server environment, you may need to edit your Apache conf files)

When WPDevMate runs for the very first time it needs to connect to the internet to download the latest version of WordPress (a file called wordpress-latest.zip), so please be patient. As long as the file wordpress-latest.zip is present in the wpdevmate directory, it will not need to do this again.
